I was born in Accra, and raised in Tokyo and upstate New York (which is NOT NEW YORK CITY). I have a BA from Michigan State University and an MA in peace studies from the University of Bradford. I’ve also lived in Shanghai, Accra (again), London, Dakar, and now Geneva.

Just caught up on some recent blogs. I chuckled at the responses to the gillette ad – just the idea that any feminist would be offended by “toxic femininity” gave me a good laugh.
